Enrico Becker’s artistic journey began in the late 1990s as a DJ immersed in Germany’s underground electronic scene, performing at influential venues like Chemnitz’s renowned 8mai club and festivals such as Nachtdigital. These formative experiences shaped his understanding of how sound transforms spaces and connects communities.

In 2000, Enrico and his brother founded Cinemata, a visual artist collective that quickly established itself in Germany’s electronic arts landscape before expanding internationally. As a visual performer, Enrico developed a distinctive aesthetic that complemented the electronic music culture while pushing visual boundaries in club environments.

Cinemata evolved beyond performance into creative production, with Enrico spearheading the development of custom concepts for stages and installations. His technical innovation became a hallmark of his work, creating bespoke hardware and software solutions that elevated events through thoughtfully designed visual experiences.

2018 marked a pivotal evolution in Enrico’s artistic practice as he began merging his dual expertise in sound and visual design. Drawing inspiration from pioneering acts like Throbbing Gristle and Surgeon, this synthesis manifested as a new solo project under his own name, focusing on creating unified audiovisual experiences where modular sound systems interact directly with live-generated visuals in perfect synchronicity.
